Safari Club International's Litigation Department participates in federal and state court cases and regulatory matters throughout the country to support and protect hunting opportunities and wildlife conservation. The Department is staffed by attorneys Anna Seidman, Doug Burdin and Bill McGrath, in consultation with SCI's Legal Task Force.
SCI is involved in cases interpreting the Endangered Species Act, the National Environmental Policy Act, the National Wildlife Refuge System Improvement Act, the Wilderness Act, and other laws affecting wildlife and hunters. Examples of current and recent litigation include the following:
